Chief Synan is a grad­u­ate of the Scar­let Oaks Police Acad­emy and also served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a grad­u­ate of the Police Exec­u­tive Lead­er­ship Col­lege. He is a 19-year vet­eran of the New­town Police Divi­sion, and has com­pleted spe­cial­ized train­ing in sev­eral areas, includ­ing Human Diver­sity, Hotel/Motel Crim­i­nal Inter­dic­tion, Nar­cotic Inves­ti­ga­tions, Child Sex­ual Abuse, Crit­i­cal Inci­dents, Ter­ror­ist Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, Crime Prevention/Community Rela­tions and is a Cer­ti­fied Field Train­ing Offi­cer, as well as a Police Moun­tain Bike Instruc­tor. He is a mem­ber of the Ohio Crime Pre­ven­tion Asso­ci­a­tion, the Inter­na­tional Police Moun­tain Bike Asso­ci­a­tion, Hamil­ton County SWAT.

Lt. McBreen is a grad­u­ate of the But­ler County Police Acad­emy. He has been an offi­cer with the New­town Police Divi­sion since 2001. He was pre­vi­ously a Loss Pre­ven­tion Spe­cial­ist at Mei­jers Depart­ment Stores. Lt. McBreen has com­pleted spe­cial­ized train­ing in sev­eral areas, includ­ing Loss Pre­ven­tion, Crime Scene Evi­dence Col­lec­tion, Evi­dence and Prop­erty Room Man­age­ment, Inci­dent Nego­ti­a­tions, Civil Lia­bil­ity, X26 Taser, and Sex­ual Assaults. Offi­cer Vontz is a grad­u­ate of the South­ern Hills Police Acad­emy, located in Brown County. He has been an offi­cer with the New­town Police Divi­sion since late 2002. Offi­cer Vontz served in the United States Army. He was pre­vi­ously a police offi­cer with the City of George­town, Ohio, since 1992. Offi­cer Vontz has received exten­sive spe­cial­ized train­ing in firearms, X26 Taser, and is assigned as the Depart­men­tal Firearms Instruc­tor. He is a licensed pilot, and also a mem­ber of the New­town Police Honor Guard Unit.

Offi­cer Bischoff is a grad­u­ate the Great Oaks Police Acad­emy. He earned his degree in Crim­i­nal Jus­tice at the Uni­ver­sity of Cincin­nati. He was pre­vi­ously a cor­rec­tions offi­cer with the Hamil­ton County Sher­iffs Office, and a police offi­cer in the Vil­lage of Ter­race Park.

Offi­cer Orso is a grad­u­ate of the Great Oaks Police Acad­emy. He has been an offi­cer with the New­town Police Divi­sion since Octo­ber of 2002. Begin­ning his law enforce­ment career in 1991 in the Vil­lage of Golf Manor as a police dispatcher/officer. Offi­cer Orso has exten­sive spe­cial­ized train­ing and knowl­edge of Com­puter Infor­ma­tion Sys­tems, Inter­net tech­nolo­gies and the X2 Taser. Offi­cer Orso is a regional resource for Ohio Child Abduc­tion Response Team (CART), and the Law Enforce­ment liai­son for the Hamil­ton County Fusion Cen­ter. Recently, he attended the DHS Law Enforce­ment Pre­ven­tion and Deter­rence of Ter­ror­ist Acts course, Screen­ing of Per­sons by Obser­va­tional Tech­niques course and the Fraud­u­lent Doc­u­ment Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Course.
